Ananyaa is a Sydney-based designer and artist, her practice spanning multiple mediums with a focus on material and method exploration to develop design ideas. A bachelor's degree in Design (Fashion) from NIFT, New Delhi followed by a Master of Design at UNSW, Sydney and an Advanced Diploma in Marketing (ACBI, Sydney) has lead to the exploration of various projects over the years, many of which have been in Sydney for Australian Design & Co. (most recent workplace) as a Graphic Designer.
Currently working between Sydney and New Delhi, where she was raised, Ananyaa draws on experiences from both cities, bringing a unique perspective to her work—merging cultural influences to develop hybrid ideas and processes.
Her work is often designed to touch upon serious topics of conversation in a light-hearted and humorous manner using relatable characters and objects as common anchors for her audience. Ananyaa’s current projects include a series of patchwork compositions (abstract interpretations of natural elements) and a collection of yarn-based sculptures that explore the intersection of textiles and technology.
Other Services.
I am currently available to work on various projects, especially those centred around data driver design and data visualisation through art in addition to commissions for textile and yarn based works.
DATA VISUALISATION

Contact me to work on public installations and temporary activations that aim to initiate conversation about systems blindness and its impact on the environment, both micro as well as macro. The works will serve as dynamic site responsive exhibits representing data gathered from the community.
MOTION GRAPHICS

Reach out if you require short animations that are designed to make you smile. From hand sketched cartoons to high end product promos - there is always an idea waiting to be realised. Have a look at some previous work examples in the animation gallery and let's set things in motion!
TEXTILE COMMISSIONS
Works like Amaltas explore patchwork's capacity to cover 3D objects like spheres and cylinders - an exciting concept from an interiors perspective where art becomes a site specific creation, wrapping around structural elements such as columns. Send me an enquiry to discuss a patchwork project for your space.
